A beautiful Louis Philippe commode in richly figured flame mahogany, where the feathered "crotch" grain fans dramatically across each drawer front. The projecting, ogee-molded top drawer and gently rounded corners are hallmarks of the form, and a dark grey-black marble top crowns the piece. Four graduated drawers—fitted with pierced gilt-bronze escutcheons—offer generous storage. Marked N.F on lock. Warm, elegant, and endlessly practical, it works beautifully in an entry, bedroom, or dining room.
