French Louis XVI Style Flame Mahogany Secrétaire à Abattant

A striking fall-front secretary desk in richly figured flame mahogany, where the feathered grain fans dramatically across the drop-front. A drawer above the fall-front opens over three graduated drawers below, each dressed with wreath-cast gilt-bronze ring pulls, and the ribbon-tied escutcheon retains its working key. Brass-reeded quarter-columns and fluted tapered legs with brass sabots complete the refined silhouette. Inside, the fall-front reveals a gold-tooled leather writing surface backed by a mirrored interior with glass shelves—equally beautiful as a writing desk, display cabinet, or dry bar.
