A six-light French chandelier in the Empire style, pairing gilt brass with soft blue-white opaline glass. A cast eagle with spread wings stands at the crown above a central opaline globe, which is banded in engraved gilt and finished with an acorn drop. Six scrolled arms curve out to shallow opaline cups with finely chased gilt rims, and the whole hangs from elongated diamond-link chains to a ball-trimmed canopy. It is lovely over a dining table or in a bedroom with generous ceilings, where the opaline glows when lit.
