A magnificent French marriage armoire in bleached oak, hand-carved in the Normandy tradition. Traditionally made to celebrate a wedding, these armoires carry their meaning in the carving—flower baskets, tumbling roses, and scrolling vines symbolizing love, fertility, and a happy union. The beautifully carved frieze and door panels sit above a shaped apron anchored by an acanthus cartouche. Two tall paneled doors—dressed with long shaped brass escutcheons—open to a practical interior fitted with shelves, ideal for linens, clothing, or display. Carved cornice moldings and short scrolled feet finish the piece. The soft bleached-oak finish lets all that romantic carving take center stage—a true heirloom statement for a bedroom, entry, or living room.

Please note the top cornice section carries a slightly warmer tone than the body—this is normal and expected with the bleaching process, as different areas of antique oak take the treatment differently. It's a natural characteristic of a genuine stripped-and-bleached piece.
