A graduated set of five French copper saucepans, nesting neatly from the largest down to a tiny pan for melting butter or warming sauces. Each has straight sides, a silvery lined interior, and a long brass handle riveted to the body and finished with a teardrop loop for hanging. The pans are stamped Made in France, and several carry the round Les Cuivres maker’s mark. The copper has softened to a warm, even patina, and the brass handles have mellowed alongside it. They are lovely in use on the stove, hung in a row from a rail, or stacked together on an open shelf.
